John Reynold Keck, 72, of Butler, PA, passed away at 1:30 p.m. on November 15, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by the ones he loved. He joined his loving family and friends in heaven, where they are worshipping God the father and praising His name.
Born on November 27, 1951, in Butler, PA, to the late Reynold A. and Martha Keck, he graduated from Butler High School and then went to Butler Community College where he got his associates degree, and afterwards Clarion University and earned his bachelor’s.
He retired from AK Steel from the receiving department. He had many hobbies, loved the outdoors, and loved his family and friends. He loved to hike, kayak, ride his bike, was a published photographer, his proudest being in the Pennsylvania Magazine, and most importantly, loved the Lord and was a servant to all who knew him.
In honor of all the ways he served God and so many people, we celebrate by saying, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
He is survived by his wife, Debbie L. Keck; and his daughter, Emily E. Keck.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reynold A. Keck and Martha T. Keck.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Samaritans Purse.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 20, 2004, from 4-7 PM at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc, 124 E. North St., Butler, PA, 16001.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Rd., Butler, PA, 16001 with Rev. Dr. Dennis Krajacic officiating.
