Mary M. Green

Mary M. Green, 94 of Butler, passed away at Concordia at the Orchard, Butler, on December 6, 2024.
Mary was born in Butler PA on March 2, 1930. She was a devoted housewife and mother to her family. She enjoyed yard work, housework (especially laundry) and cooking. She volunteered at Butler Catholic school.
Mary was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Butler.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Don, who passed away in 1997. She is also preceded in death by 2 of her children, Joanne (2010) and Robert (2017).
She is survived by her 5 children, Vivian (Bill) Wachsmuth, Rochester, PA Tom (Kathy) Green, John (Becky) Green, both of Butler, Joyce (Mike) Cully, Renfrew and Donna (Randy) Root of Idaho. She is survived by 19 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and 3 great-great-great grandchildren!
The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia for all their love and care they showed their mom during her 2 ½ years she lived there. Also thank you to Good Samaritan Hospice for their care these last couple months.
Friends of Mary Green, who died Friday December 6, 2024, will be received at Geibel Funeral home, 201 E. Cunningham St. Butler, on Sunday December 8, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. A Blessing Service will follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in North Oakland, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The Butler Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew PA, or a charity of your choice.
