A Butler man has been taken into custody after eluding police in a car chase.
On Friday an officer identified a vehicle that was alleged to be in violation of several vehicle codes on West Wayne Street. When officers attempted to pull the driver over, they sped away.
Eventually the driver was led down a dead end where they parked the car and ran out of the vehicle. Police identified the man as 21-year-old Damian Blystone and also accused him of throwing a plastic container of alleged marijuana out while attempting to flee.
Police eventually took Blystone into custody and charged him with fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, flight to avoid apprehension, a DUI, and several other summary offenses.
He’s being held in the Butler County Prison on $75,000 bail.
