Scheduling is now open for the annual free income tax preparation program.
It’s known as the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, or VITA, and it offers free tax preparation for households with a gross income of $60,000 or less.
The program is staffed by volunteers that are all IRS certified.
There are five locations where you can visit to get your taxes done: Butler, Cabot, Cranberry, Slippery Rock, and Kittanning.
