A house was completely destroyed in a fire Wednesday morning in Venango Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center just before 10 a.m. for a heavily involved fire at a home in the 300 block of Cemetery Road.
When arriving on scene, crews quickly elevated it to a third alarm fire and asked for additional crews.
However, crews were not able to save the home with firefighters calling it a total loss.
It’s believed a space heater tipped over and led to the fire.
The Red Cross was called to assist the family.
No other details were immediately available.
