The state is continuing to take measures in response to the bird flu.
Governor Josh Shapiro included $2 million in this year’s proposed budget for a new animal testing laboratory, and $13 million for the Ag Innovation Fund.
The response plan also includes education and public outreach, and continued surveillance, testing, and farm management.
No infections have been detected in cattle or humans in the state, but the public is reminded not to touch sick or dead wild birds.
