In hopes of providing farmers and poultry technicians with support due to the spread of avian flu, the Pennsylvania legislator and executive branch signed a new law in two weeks.
In an effort to help support poultry technicians a bill that is now law will allow legal status immigrants to become technicians and take samples from birds in farms they work at.
Officials say these two minor changes can greatly help reduced the spread of the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza.
This law took 9 business days to pass through the branches of government to reach Governor Josh Shapiro desk. This law passed with bipartisan support.
