Knoch High School students and staff will begin to use the new Commons area and cafeteria following a ribbon-cutting next week.
According to Superintendent Dr. David Foley, the ceremony to officially unveil the new space will take place Friday, February 21st with regular use by students and staff the following Monday.
Board members also approved several change orders at their meeting totaling about $53,000 to reconfigure a roof drain and install a new ladder to allow for roof access. Additional change orders were approved to mitigate floor moisture in a bathroom as well as modify bathroom doors.
The next step in this project will be to transition the old cafeteria to a wellness area as well as remodel half the science classrooms.
