Jack A. Jordan Sr., 86, of Bruin, passed away at Butler Memorial Hospital Monday evening, March 3, 2025 while in the company of his loving family.
Jack was born in Bruin on June 26, 1938. He was the son of the late Bernard and Edna Blystone Jordan Cratty.
He attended school in Petrolia. Jack possessed a strong work ethic and had owned and operated Jordan’s Amoco in Bruin for more than 10 years. He retired from the boiler house at Witco Chemical in Petrolia with more than 20 years of service. Jack was a model train enthusiast and looked forward to the company of his “grandkids”.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jordan, whom he married in Petrolia on June 29, 1957. Mrs. Jordan passed away on April 6, 2018.
Surviving are four children, Susen Hilliard and her husband, Dennis, of Parker, Jack A. Jordan Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Bruin, Rodney S. Jordan and his wife, Tracy, of West Sunbury and Bernard “Bernie” Jordan and his wife, Mary Jane, of Butler; his grandchildren, Corey Hilliard and his wife, Diana, Casey Hilliard and his wife, Jessica, Tiffany Hilliard (Eddie), Stefanie Whitmer and her husband, Dean, Michael Jordan and his fiancé, Paula, Nichole Morgan and her husband, John, Candice Fleeger and her husband, Justin, and Katie Jordan, as well as a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Jordan and his wife, Carolyn, of Argentine and Charles “Chuck” Jordan of East Brady; a sister, Janice Angiolieri of East Brady, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his wife and parents, Jack was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alisha Holt; as well as his sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Bill Miller, Pat Cipolla, and Fred Angiolieri.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Friday. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Barger, pastor of Scrubgrass Stone Church in Emlenton, officiating.
