A Butler man has been charged after firing off a gun and threatening to kill his father at Connoquenessing Township home.
Charging documents say a victim arrived at the state police barracks in Butler looking for a protection from abuse order against 41-year-old Nicholas Oesterling.
The victim told police that Nicholas Oesterling fired a shot into the ground and threatened to kill the victim and his girlfriend.
Oesterling has been charged with possession of a firearm prohibited and terroristic threats. He’s awaiting a preliminary hearing.
