The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-3 in exhibition baseball Monday night. The Orioles hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning which decided the game. Pirates starting pitcher Mitch Keller allowed three earned runs on four hits while pitching 3-1/3rd innings. He walked three and struck out three. Jack Suwinski had a double for the Bucs. Jared Triolo had a triple.
The Pirates host the New York Yankees in Bradenton at 1:05pm today. Paul Skenes will start today’s game for the Bucs.
Speaking of the Yankees – Former Pirate pitcher Gerrit Cole of the Yankees will miss the 2025 season. He will undergo Tommy John surgery.
