A man who was charged with leading police on a chase on Route 28 has been sentenced.
The Department of Justice announced 29-year-old Derik Carothers of Washington will spend 10 years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
According to police, Carothers led police on a high-speed chase on Route 28 in October 2019. The chase ended in a rollover crash in South Buffalo Township.
Carothers was found with drugs, money, and weapons in the car.
He had previously been convicted of burglary and gun charges in Cambria County.
