Regina “Ginger” Sporny, 83, of Butler passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. She was born in Butler on November 20, 1941, to the late Walter and Helen (Schnitzki) Krul. Ginger graduated from Butler High School in 1959 and was a homemaker. She was known for being thoughtful, caring, kind and very family centered. Ginger was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed socializing and spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed antiquing, traveling, reading, doing crafts and cross stitching. Ginger was the beloved wife of Richard Sporny since their marriage on June 1, 1963; mother of Leanne (Brad) Boyer and Karen (John) Baranko; sister of Karen Puff, John (the late, Sue) Krul, Connie (David) Butch and Marianne (Stan) Barth; grandmother of Kaitlyn Baranko, Rachel and Chad Boyer; she is also survived by several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
