Carrie D. O’Day, 47, of Butler, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, while under the care of Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born May 2, 1978, in Butler, she was the daughter of Samuel John “Sam” O’Day and the late Cheryl Ann (Gold) O’Day.
Carrie was a graduate of Butler High School, and worked for LARK Enterprises, Inc. (Sheltered Workshop) in New Castle, PA. and also for the PARC in Butler. Carrie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Butler. She also enjoyed bowling with The Special Olympics and Bible Study at the office of Community Care Connections.
She is survived by her father, Sam O’Day of Butler, her brother, Travis W. O’Day of Butler, four aunts and one uncle.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jim, and her grandmother, Grace.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the people that were involved with caring for Carrie throughout her life; especially the individuals at Community Care Connections.
Friends are invited to spend time with the family on Sunday, May 25, 2025 from 1-3PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Dr., Butler, PA 16001. A Memorial Service to celebrate Carrie’s life will immediately follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Joel Benson officiating.
She will be laid to rest privately beside her mother in Butler County Memorial Park.
