Ida K. Smith, 86, of Slippery Rock, PA, passed away on June 22, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital with her daughters by her side.
She was born on September 8, 1938, in Parker, PA, to the late David and Bertha (Bowser) Kamerer.
Ida was a devoted homemaker for her loving family. She was also a member of the American Legion Butler #117. Ida enjoyed playing cards, listening to country music, and playing bingo, as well as spending time with her loving family.
Ida is survived by her four daughters, Kim (Wayne Krauchak) Smith, Sherry (Henry) Clever, Sheila (Norman) Sutton, and Debora (Timothy) Byers; her seven granddaughters; her grandson; her sixteen great-grandchildren; her two great-great-grandchildren; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ida was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, David E. Smith, whom she married on March 1, 1958, and who passed away on January 30, 2017; her grandson; as well as her great-granddaughter. Ida was also the last of twelve siblings.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA 16001.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm, on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA 16001, with Reverend Bob Edmundson officiating.
A private burial will take place at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
