The State House passed a budget, but its far from a finished product according to lawmakers.
The House passed the $50.6 billion yesterday with all Democrats voting in favor, along with a few Republicans.
Officials say “there are many other steps” remaining but passing a budget out of the House gets the process started.
The bill now moves to the Republican-controlled Senate, where negotiations are expected to continue.
