A man is facing charges in connection to a string of burglaries at churches and Amish businesses in Mercer County.
Police charged 30-year-old Harley Redmond after an investigation connected him to crimes at seven different Amish-based businesses and places of worship.
The incidents took place over a five-day span in May. Police soon began to notice similarities in the crimes, such as a man with tattoos being listed as the suspect and the same vehicle at the scene of the crime.
Police say Redmond was looking to steal cash at the businesses and churches.
He’s also accused of beginning a fire at the Jerusalem Christian Church in Otter Creek Township, causing $5,000 in damage.
Redmond is facing numerous counts of burglary, arson, theft, and more.
