The BC3 women’s volleyball team swept Penn State DuBois 3-0 Tuesday. All-American middle hitter Josie Russo, a Freeport grad, had 12 kills, setter Anora Robare, a Slippery Rock high school grad, had 26 assists and defensive specialist Sara Lucas, from Butler, had nine digs as the seventh-ranked Butler County Community College volleyball team moved to 8-0 on Tuesday by defeating Penn State DuBois 3-0.
The #7-ranked Lady Pioneers improved to 8-0. They visit Penn State Greater Allegheny tonight.
The Pitt women’s volleyball team swept #3-ranked Kentucky 3-0 last night in the “Shriner’s Children’s Showdown” in Fort Worth, Texas. After beginning their season 0-2, the Lady Panthers have won five in a row, including wins over three ranked teams. The event pitted eight ACC teams against eight teams from the SEC.
