Dennis “Denny” Young

Dennis “Denny” Young, 76, of Chicora passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025. He was born in Butler on August 25, 1949, to the late Roy Jr, and Bernice (Baker) Young. Denny graduated from Butler High School in 1967, and was employed at ARMCO/AK Steel for 37 years until his retirement in 2005. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Denny was a great dad and loved his family dearly, and was loyal to all. Denny was the beloved husband of Nancy (Dickey) Young since their marriage in 2008; father of Chad (Kimberly) Young; brother of Karen (Gerald) Campbell, Kimberly Copeland and Jeffrey (Robin) Young; grandfather of Austin and Emily Jenkins. Along with his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his son, Mickey Young; his siblings, Richard (Cindy) Young and Carson (Pam) Delk, and his previous wife, Judith Blatt, whom he married in 1969 until her death in 1996.
