Butler Area School District has been chosen to join a program that will give students the skills necessary to navigate today’s complex information landscape.
Butler administrators recently announced that the district has been selected to join the News Literacy Projects District Fellowship Program.
This three-year fellowship provides $30,000 grants and customized support to implement news literacy education districtwide. This program is in its 4th year spanning 15 states and 28 districts with over a million students.
Butler will join Avonworth School District, who is also new to the program this year, as well as previous participant Cornell School District to form a Pennsylvania network to collaborate on best practices, create resources, and navigate challenges.
