A longtime attorney in the Butler area died in a car crash late last week in Forward Township.
69-year-old Kathryn McGown of Evans City died in an accident on Evans City Road last Friday morning.
McGown was a private practice attorney that was based out of Evans City.
80-year-old Marcia Carnahan of Slippery Rock also died in the crash. She was also a co-founder of the Save Slippery Rock Creek movement.
McGown died after her vehicle crossed the center line and hit Carnahan. The two women were pronounced dead at the scene.
