Saturday is National Drug Take Back Day and many local communities are holding collection events.
The day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means to dispose of prescription drugs.
Local law enforcement agencies are hosting events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. including:
- Butler Township Police at the Moraine Pointe Plaza Sam’s Club
- Cranberry Township Police at the municipal center rear parking lot
- The Butler VA Health Care System is also hosting a collection in the parking lot of the New Castle Road campus
Officials ask that participants remove any identifying information from the bottles.
