Developers are one step closer to bringing a popular restaurant to Butler following a decision by the Butler Township Commissioners.
Monday night the Commissioners heard from representatives of Chick-fil-A present plans for a restaurant at Butler Crossing near Kohls.
The restaurant would be about 5,000 square feet with two drive-through lanes. According to engineers, about 25 vehicles would be expected during peak hours but the property would be able to accommodate 38 in line at any given time.
In August the Butler Township Zoning Hearing Board gave approval for this project to include two canopies used for ordering and pickup. Then earlier this month, Butler Township Planning Commission recommended approval.
Construction is expected to begin sometime next summer for a possible opening early in 2027.
