A Butler man is facing charges after leaving the scene of an accident late last week in Franklin Township.
Just before 1 a.m. Thursday, police were called to the intersection of Route 422 and Eagle Mill Road for a two-vehicle accident that saw one driver leave the scene.
When police arrived on scene they saw one vehicle had heavy front-end damage. The victims said the driver was heading west in the eastbound lane and after the crash head towards old route 422.
Officers observed scrape marks on the road that led them to a home on the 400 block of Dogwood Drive in Butler. When officers knocked on the door 36-year-old Jeremy McCauley came out of the home and is allegedly admitted to the crash. McCauley then consented and failed a sobriety test and declined to consent to a legal blood draw.
He’s facing several charges including accidents involving damage to attended vehicle or property and several DUI’s.
