The Pennsylvania Insurance Department is reminding Pennsylvanian’s to “Stop, ask and confirm” their pharmacies still take their insurance coverage.
The PID has received reports of consumers receiving a letter saying they would not be able to used their local pharmacies.
The PID is looking into this issue working with insurers, partner organizations, and state and federal agencies. They believe that some of these letters sent may be false.
Consumers are advised before having medications sent to a pharmacy, stop, ask, and confirm the pharmacy still takes the insurer.
