Richard Scott Borland, 74, of Mars, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at UPMC Passavant-McCandless.
He was born May 21, 1951, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late James Roy and Margaret (Kelly) Borland.
Scott owned and operated Scott Borland Garage. He was a member of the Mars VFW Post 7505, Cranberry Elks Lodge 2249, Harley’s Owner Group, and American Motorcyclist Association. He loved motorcycles.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Kathy (Steinke) Borland of Mars; his grandchildren, Alyssa Lorah, Colin Borland, and Caleb Borland; two great-grandchildren, Paisley Rose Borland and Dawsonn James Borland; two brothers, Tom (Marsha) Borland of Virginia, and Jack (Betsy) Borland of North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Judie Borland of Washington; nieces, Kimmy Macon and Jackie Borland; several other nieces and nephews and his precious dog, Maggie Mae.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Richard Borland; a grandson, J.T. Borland; and his brother, Harry James Borland and his sister Mary Cravenar.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
