Scott “Scotty” Burns

Scott “Scotty” Burns, 67, of Cabot passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. He was born in Pittsburgh on November 15, 1958, to the late Richard and Roberta (Matchett) Burns. Scotty graduated from Knoch High School and was widely known as the best drywaller, taking pride in his trade. Scotty appreciated simple pleasures and time spent outdoors; he was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He held family close and loved being with his children and grandchildren. Father of Denielle, Jacob and Grant Burns, Laura (Corey) Wirtz and bonus son, Sebastian Broskey; he is also survived by his wife, Denise (Caputo) Burns, whom he married in 1983, and remained close friends with, sharing their history and devotion to their children; brother of James Burns; grandfather of Savannah, Sean, Grant Jr, and Skylar.
