Harrisville Borough took several actions at their last borough meeting earlier this month to improve their sewer services.
The first action was an increase of $2 per month for the sewer bill due to increased costs.
The second was to approve an application for a loan of $800,000 from Pennvest for sewer system improvements.
For Borough Clerk Doug Cook this is just a small step to grow the small borough.
“We have exciting things going on, we’re going to be applying for grants for the sewer, parks, and streets,” Cook said. “We’re really getting ourselves out there and going for stuff.”
The loan will help pay for early engineering costs.
