Boys basketball:
–Woodland Hills-60 Butler-52. Stainton Forbes led the Golden Tornado with 23 points. Butler will visit Seneca Valley Friday.
Also in Class 6A Section 1 last night:
–Fox Chapel defeated North Allegheny 44-33. The Foxes are now 5-6 in the section. N.A. fell to 3-8.
Fox Chapel will host Butler for their final section game of the regular season on Friday, February 6th

Girls Basketball:
–Butler-50 Woodland Hills-13.
–Oakland Catholic-48 Knoch-20.
–North Clarion-51 Union/AC Valley-35.
–Grove City-57 Sharon-18.
The WPIAL wrestling tournaments began last night. The Seneca Valley boys defeated Armstrong 34-28 in the Preliminary Round, but then fell to Norwin 54-18 in the First Round of the Class 3A tournament.
Southmoreland defeated Knoch 52-15 in the Class 2A Preliminary Round.
Bowling:
–The Butler and Freeport bowlers split their match Wednesday. The Butler boys won 5-2. The Freeport girls won 7-0.
