Joanne Marie Glasgow, age 89, of Butler, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026. Born on August 31, 1936, in Middletown, OH, Joanne was the oldest child of Roy K. Fowler, Sr. and Freda Elizabeth “Liz” Fowler.

She was married to James D. Glasgow on June 8, 1956 and together they shared 40 years of marriage until his passing in 1996.

Joanne was known for her endless creativity, benevolent spirit, devotion to family, and her red hair. As a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Butler, PA, she led a funeral dinner committee.

For many years, she volunteered as a hospice companion, was a member of the Butler County Symphony Association, and worked in the bookstore at BC3. She was known for her love of baking, especially cookies, and was an incredible seamstress – designing dresses for weddings, proms, formal events, and crafting hundreds of baby blankets.

She enjoyed performing as “JoJo” the clown with her grandchildren and dog, BooBoo to lighten the spirits of children and adults alike.

She is remembered by her loving family: brother Bob Fowler (Jean Fowler), sister Judy Jones; daughters Sharon Perschke (Tim Perschke) and Joy Bernhard (Mike Bernhard), daughter-in-law Luann Glasgow; grandchildren Philip Glasgow, Corey Glasgow, Dawn Heinz, Gretchen Perschke, Kyle Perschke (Marissa Perschke), Kamryn Luchkiw (Evan Luchkiw), Mikayla Bernhard, Kylee Joanne Bernhard; great-grandsons Asher Glasgow and Weston Heinz, and great-granddaughter Everleigh Joy Luchkiw.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband Jim, son Donnie Glasgow, and two brothers, Roy K. Fowler, Jr. and Bill Fowler.
