The Seneca Valley boys basketball team advanced to the WPIAL 6A semi-finals with a 45-44 win over Hempfield. Andrew Omasits led the Raiders with 13 points. Seneca Valley will face Upper St. Clair in the semi-finals, which will be Monday.
On the other side of the 6A bracket, New Castle defeated Mt. Lebanon and Central Catholic took down Imani Christian. The Red Hurricanes and Vikings square off Monday.
The Knoch and North Catholic boys basketball teams will meet in the WPIAL Class 4A semifinals Saturday. The game will be played at Pine-Richland high school beginning at 1pm. WISR pre-game will begin at 12:45pm.
The Seneca Valley girls basketball team will travel to Pine-Richland tonight in the Class 6A Quarterfinals. Tip-off is 7pm.
The Slippery Rock Girls basketball team will play Oil City Saturday in the District 10 Class 4A Quarterfinals. Tip-off of that game is 1:30pm at Grove City high school.
