Local communities along the Allegheny River avoided major damage despite rising water levels over the weekend.
Flash flood warnings were issued starting Friday morning for areas like Emlenton, Parker, and Foxburg.
The ice jams and rising water levels created flooding concerns for a number of local communities. While some low-lying areas were impacted by flooding, many communities avoided seeing significant damage.
By Friday night, the ice jams had broken and the river was flowing again without issue.
