James P. “Jimmy” Hoover, 69, of Butler passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026. He was born in Greensburg on January 1, 1957, to the late Paul and E. Jean (Thomas) Hoover.
Jimmy graduated from Greensburg Salem High School and honorably served in the U.S. Navy. After his service, he was employed as a laborer for numerous places. Jimmy was known for being a great storyteller, generous, kindhearted and would always put other people first. He was an animal lover and in his free time he enjoyed riding his bike. Jimmy was an active member of AA for many years.
Jimmy is survived by his siblings, Ron (Louise) and Dan (Shelly) Hoover, Linda (Howard) Keefer and Judy (Damon) Shutak.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 5-7 PM at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001. WWW.SPENCERDGEIBEL.COM.
