The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Minnesota Twins 6-4 in exhibition baseball Thursday. The game saw the Bucs face their former manager Derek Shelton, who is now leading the Twins. Newly acquired outfielder Jake Mangum triggered a three-run first inning for the Pirates with a leadoff double. Oneil Cruz, Nick Gonzales and Spencer Horwitz had two hits each.
The Pirates host Baltimore today at 1:05pm. Mitch Keller will make his second start of the spring for the Bucs, who are now 5-2 in early play>
