Pennsylvania’s top law enforcement officer recently entered into a settlement that will provide refunds to some residents.
Attorney General Dave Sunday was joined by the Federal Trade Commission and ten other states in announcing a settlement with Walmart regarding allegations that the company deceived customers and drivers who participated in its Spark Driver Program.
Walmart’s Spark Driver Program was launched in 2018 to provide home delivery of products by people who could also sign up to be drivers. Walmart allegedly misrepresented the pre-tip amounts, base pay, and incentive pay to drivers.
Walmart will pay nearly $1 and a half million to Pennsylvania drivers while additional money will go directly to the states as well as the FTC which will provide refunds to consumers.
