Kathleen DePolo, 86, of Zelienople passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026. She was born in Windber, PA on July 24, 1939, to the late James and Polly (Ohler) Pierre. Kathleen graduated from Windber High School, and was a beloved wife and mom all her life
Kathleen was artistic and creative. She enjoyed making gifts for family and friends such as ceramic nativity figurine sets and Christmas trees, along with needlepoint and cruel pictures she would frame. Each Christmas she would make tree decorations and bake dozens of cookies to share with family. She was well known for her Italian meatballs, Texas sheet cake, lemon meringue pie and pizzelles.
Kathleen was the beloved wife of Robert J. DePolo, whom she married on June 3, 1961, in St. Anthony of Padua Church after their eight-year courtship. Kathleen was mother of Kristine DePolo and Robert P. DePolo; and grandmother of Danielle DePolo and Christian DePolo.
She was preceded in death by her siblings; Elise Dembinsky, Margie Brzana, James Pierre, George Pierre, Mary Zubek, Richard Pierre, and Barbara Edwards.
Family and friends will be received for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Friday, March 6, 2026, at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Windber, Pennsylvania. Burial will be held privately.
