Multiple fire crews responded to a Butler Township fire at the former Institute Hill Pharmacy Thursday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center at 12:30 p.m. for smoke coming from an apartment in the 900 block of East Jefferson Street.
Crews from Butler Township, Butler City, and Unionville were among those responding to smoke coming from the second floor. A portion of Jefferson Street needed to be shut down to allow full access to firefighters.
The fire was under control after about ten minutes but the cause and amount of damage caused are both unknown at this time.
