Mark “Sparky/Whitey” Allan Simmer, 67, of Butler, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026, at his home.
He was born September 23, 1958, in Butler, the son of the late Arthur Simmer and Margaret Ellen (Kranz) Ion.
Mark worked at Rite Aid and Dollar General on Main Street in Butler. He enjoyed karaoke, listening to music, and spending time with his family. He also loved his dog, Oreo.
Surviving are his daughter, Melissa Ann (Michael) Davis of Butler; his son, Michael Allan Simmer; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maureen (Matthew) Davis of Butler and Marcia (Scott) Marshall of Butler; and his former wives, Lisa and Cheryl.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kadell Schnur, and his brother, Arthur V. Simmer.
Military Honors will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 2PM at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 West Jefferson Street Butler, PA 16001.
