The Las Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-2 last night. Vegas scored three times, including an empty-net goal in the third period to turn a 3-2 lead into a dominating victory and snapping a three-game losing streak. Ben Kindel and Rickard Rakell scored for the Penguins. Goaltender Arturs Silovs stopped just 11 of 16 Vegas shots.
The Pens move on to Utah for a 9pm face-off Saturday. Pre-game on WISR begins at 8:30pm.
The Penguins remain tied with the New York Islanders for second place in the Metropolitan Division. Both teams have 17 games remaining in the regular season.
Columbus has moved within two points of the Pens and Islanders after they earned a point, but lost to Florida in overtime.
