Paula J. Riggs, 68, of Butler passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. She was born in Butler on May 27, 1957, to the late Paul and Ida Jean (Wilson) Ritchey. Paula graduated from Mars High School class of 1975 and furthered her education at BC3, where she graduated in 1978.
Paula worked at Zanotti’s Motor Company for 30 years and then worked at Campbell’s Notary Services before retirement. Paula was known for being loving, kind, compassionate and forgiving. She had a great sense of humor and drama – she was fond of a good fight if the cause was right. Paula loved her cats and reminiscing about her family, animals and friends.
Paula was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved Heinz Ketchup. She loved watching Yellowstone and Survivor. Paula was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, the American Legion Riders of Butler County, and rode with Western Riders.
Paula was the beloved wife of the late Jeffrey Riggs, whom she married in 1999, until his death in 2022; sister of David, Robert and Jeffrey Ritchey; aunt of Robin Roy, Dana Muth, Greg, Brian, Scott, Logan, Madison, Cole and Morgan Ritchey; great aunt of 6 nieces and 5 nephews.
