Dorothy A. Stefanko, 96, of Lyndora, passed away in the comfort of her home on Friday, March 27, 2026.
Born Feb. 17, 1930, in Lyndora, she was a daughter of the late Michael Raskowsky and Ann Bobic Raskowsky.
She was employed for 10 years as a policy file clerk at the Nationwide Insurance regional office in Butler, and she had previously worked at Bobbie Brooks in Butler.
Dorothy was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church.
She loved her little town of Lyndora, where she lived her entire life. She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 249, and she was a life member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol.
She is survived by two daughters, Carla Machulis and her husband, Frank, of Irving, Texas, and Doreen Hussar and her husband, Mike, of Butler; three grandchildren, Kristen Hussar and her husband, Ben Vogt, of Ambridge, Michael John Hussar, of Butler, and Nicole Hussar, of Butler; and one great-grandchild, Camille Vogt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George J. Stefanko, who passed away Jan. 29, 2016; four brothers; and six sisters.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home Downtown, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, on Wednesday, April 1, from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Rd., Butler, with Rev. John J. Baver officiating.
Entombment will take place in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Butler County Memorial Park.
