A newly released study is offering suggested policy changes to high school sports in Pennsylvania.
The study was requested by State Representative Rob Matzie of Beaver County.
There were three findings in the report:
- Establish an independent body to monitor student transfers.
- Revise its policy for feeder schools, so private schools are operating under the same guidelines as public schools.
- Document clear requirements to host state championships.
Matzie is urging the PIAA to make the recommended changes and believes it would help ensure fairness in high school sports.
