At their meeting last week, Cranberry Township recognized their Parks and Recreation Department for being one of Pennsylvania’s Recreation and Park Society Award winners for Excellence.
Thursday night, the Parks and Rec Department was honored for receiving two awards by the Board of Supervisors. The first was for the department’s childcare programs that serves over 500 children.
The second was for their Sensory-Friendly Community Events Initiative, that expanded with inclusive programming with designated sensory-friendly hours at community events.
Cranberry’s Parks and Rec department was the only municipal program to receive multiple awards this year.
