The Knoch School Board and administration continue to prepare for the presentation of a proposed 2026-27 budget next month.
Business Manager Jamie Van Lenten presented information to the board Wednesday night dealing with anticipated expenses for next school year.
Knoch salaries are expected to remain mostly even while although health care costs continue to increase, they are not rising by as much as they did last year. An increase in transportation costs as a result of a new contract along with capital project expenses like roof repairs and technology upgrades could result in Knoch looking at a budget deficit but it is not yet clear how much.
Administrators will be working to update, review, and finalize numbers for the next several weeks before the 2026-27 school year budget is introduced in May.
