Butler County has secured funding from PennDOT to help with five bridge projects next year.
The $3.3 million project will feature more than $2.5 million in grant funding coming from the Department of Transportation.
The county is planning repairs to five different bridges:
- Jones Road in Penn Township
- Woodland Road in Jefferson Township
- Burtner Road in Jefferson Township
- Great Belt Road in Jefferson Township
- O’Hara Road in Jefferson Township
Officials say the bridges need repaired and are highly traveled. Work is expected to begin next year.
The county is contributing $770,000, which comes from the $5 vehicle fee.
