Anyone interested in enjoying the beauty of nature will have an opportunity this weekend at a local park.
McConnells Mill State Park is hosting a Wildflower Woods Hike on Saturday (tomorrow) from 10 a.m. to noon leaving from the Point Parking lot.
The Park Naturalist will lead a difficult hike for a mile and a half along the North Country National Scenic Trail while discussing spring wildflowers and other plants found in the Slippery Rock Gorge.
Participants should wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather and are encouraged to bring drinking water, a snack, and a camera.
