A York County man is facing charges after being accused of threatening someone inside a Taco Bell in Slippery Rock.
On April 16, police were called to the Taco Bell on Grove City Road for 20-year-old Christopher Powell of Red Lion, PA for threatening someone with a box cutter knife.
According to charging documents, the victim accused Powell of demanding money and getting into a struggle before a box cutter fell to the ground. Powell allegedly picked up the box cutter and demanded the victim pay him and made threats with the knife.
When police spoke with Powell he claimed the two were just rough housing as friends. But video surveillance in the Taco Bell showed the incident was closer to how the victim described the incident.
Powell has been charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession of a weapon, and two counts of terroristic threats.
Powell is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
