Softball Playoffs from Tuesday:
–Seneca Valley defeated Pine-Richland 13-2 in six innings in the WPIAL Class 6A semifinals. The Raiders will meet Hempfield next week for the league championship. Hempfield defeated Canon-McMillan 13-0 in five innings in the other Class 6A semifinal.
–The top-seed in Class 5A – Shaler rolled through Armstrong 11-0 in five innings last night in the quarterfinals. The Titans get Baldwin in the semifinals Thursday.
–Slippery Rock edged General McLaine 8-7 in the Class 4A quarterfinals.
–Corry downed Grove City 7-2 in the Class 3A quarterfinals.
The Butler boys volleyball team will meet North Allegheny for the Class 3A championship tonight. The match will be played in Peters Township at 8pm.
