Many communities will be honoring the lives of veterans through a variety of Memorial Day events this weekend.
Butler will be holding their annual Memorial Day Parade at 10:40 a.m. on Main Street this Monday.
Other events include
SATURDAY
- Prospect will have an America250/Memorial Day event, which begins at 3 p.m. The parade starts at 5 p.m.
SUNDAY
- Cranberry Township will hold its remembrance ceremony from 1-2 p.m. at Veterans Memorial at North Boundary Park.
- The Penn Township VFD will host its Memorial Day ceremony at 2 p.m.
MONDAY
- Chicora Memorial Day Parade will start at 10 a.m.
- The Harrisville Legion Post 852 will host at Memorial Day Ceremony and parade starting at 1 p.m.
- Saxonburg’s Memorial Day Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. with an event to follow at Roebling Park.
- The Zelienople Legion will host at Memorial Day service beginning at 11 a.m.
