A Wexford man has been placed in the Butler County Prison after being accused of stalking his ex-fiancé in Cranberry Township.
On May 15, police were called to the 7000 block of Old Station Road for a violation of a protection from abuse order.
When police spoke with the victim, she accused her former partner 32-year-old Richard Hilderbrand of acting paranoid.
Hilderbrand allegedly was knocking on her bedroom window at late hours, entering her apartment, then damaging and stealing items.
When police spoke with Hilderbrand, he admitted to also placing audio and video recording devices in the victim’s home without her consent.
He was charged with intercept communications, criminal use of a communication facility, stalking, and possession of an instrument of a crime with intent.
Hilderbrand’s bail was set at $15,000 and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 29th.
